Karan Khanna born in 1956 in Delhi is the son of famous artist Krishen Khanna who has been exposed to art and artists from his childhood. Creativity therefore came to him naturally as a way of life is no surprise.  Though he started his career in the advertising industry he soon moved into art photography as a freelance. Legendary photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson, whom he had accompanied on a shooting spree in Chandini Chowk Old Delhi, has been a great source of inspiration for Karan from whom he learnt some of the finer points of photography. Viewing the world through the lens of his camera, Karan’s work reflects his familiarity with the technological changes in the field which he uses to create images in a new idiom uniquely his own. He has a large body of street photographs that have been exhibited in various shows held in different cities of India and Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and London. His works are part of private collections in India and abroad and have been sold at Sotheby’s auction in London and New York.
